That's right, Holy Moly I made it to the end! What's even better is that I wrote here...every week and didn't mind it so much!!!
This course has been a little bit of a challenge, I feel that I need to continue to read the book and work within the writing center to be the best I can be when it comes to College Comp. What I have learned here is priceless to me and I will forever have it imbedded into my brain and it will be of use to me for the rest of my life, for that I am thankful!
This past week has been an interesting one on the home front, the best news of all is that I am getting engaged by the end of the year! I will probably be married in 2012, we like to save and plan. I don't want to stress in less than a year over a wedding. So we looked at rings yesterday and I found a gorgeous one that I'll be putting on layaway today. We have been together 22 months, so that's a good balance I believe.
My kiddo's are LOVING school and love that we've been super busy with activities lately also.
Best wishes to you all and Thank You Professor for sticking it out with me!

Week 9 already?
Wow, can I just say that this has been an incredibly quick term here with Kaplan, moreso than any other's I've had. With that being said though, I thought this term was going to be awful and it's been quite nice. I've enjoyed writing here even, amazing huh?
Like I'd said in probably week 1, I am not a writer, I however am writing...see just there, I did it! I accomplished what I didn't think I could do and for that I am thankful, so thank you for pushing me along.
This is Labor Day weekend and we have plans to go to our local yet very large fair and enjoy being a part of this community since we have only been here a year. Tomorrow we're going to a Hawaiin festival at a park here, it's amazing just how much culture is right in our own back yard. I appreciate these types of thing's more, the older I get. Funny how that happens to us isn't it?
My children are back and school and doing great, my son turns 16 in 6 WEEKS! I honestly believe I'll cry the whole month of October. Bet you all are glad you won't have to check up next month LOL. My significant other's 40th birthday is also next month and I'm throwing him a very large surprise party, which is something he's never experienced.
I love the fall and I think that is what gives my life pep. I know that come September - Novemeber I will be so greatful for everything around me that it lasts me a whole nother' year. Thank You Mother Nature! You are my natural wonder and love.

TGIF!
Thank goodness it's Friday! I've had a crazy two weeks and this one was just nuts!
Last week while Phil was gone on his business trip I came down with a very nasty sore throat and thought I had pnuemonia, thankfully I didn't though. I however slept for a lot of the latter part of the week.
Company came down Saturday evening and stayed until Monday morning. Phil returned Sunday evening and visited as much as possible before returning to work Monday. I then had another relative come on Tuesday night and stay until Thursday morning. Now don't get me wrong but I'm glad everyone is gone but my immediate family! What a stressed week!!
Oh and did I mention I also had 3 extra children per day while this was all happening? Geez!
So this week I am feeling better and I will be very focused this weekend with my homework and mainly the last finishing touches of my paper. I am happy this term is over very soon, that much I do know!
Have a great weekend everyone.

Come on Sunday, please!
I am ready for Sunday to be here now, today, Wednesday! I do not like being here alone and I want my boyfriend back and things to return to normal. I've cried a majority of two day's and I don't enjoy a good cry.
So last week I thought my friend was coming this weekend but it turns out she couldn't get off work so instead, my cousin and her family are coming. That should keep my mind at bay at least for the latter part of Friday, all day Saturday and they'll leave out early Sunday.
My girl's began school today and my oldest seems to of enjoyed her day. Explaining how she couldn't wear the shorts she wore today ever again. My youngest will be picked up in a matter of minutes. She should keep me attentive for the next hour, I'm sure.
Only 3 weeks to go in class. I hope that I get a more firm understanding of what was needed of me as I bombed this last assignment. I am reading the books entirety at this point.

Can I please freeze time?
Time is moving entirely too fast for me at this point. School is flying by this term, so much so that I doubt myself sometimes because I wonder did I really just learn that or am I imagining this? Anyhow, the term is half over, yay!
I would like to ask Father Time to please make this next week Aug 17-22 go very quickly because I have a feeling I might have a melt down. My boyfriend will be gone for work that entire time AND all of my kid's are going to remind me how much they're growing up. I have a Sophmore (getting his license this year) a daughter going into Jr High and my baby is going into 1st grade! This is THE year that I am reminded that they aren't babies any longer and I am so sad about it.
I am going to attempt to read a book cover to cover for the first time EVER this week, just to keep myself distracted. I also will be painting some furniture and have my best friend coming Friday - Sunday.

We're beginning to wind down.
Summer's end is fast approaching, which means back to school shopping and that is always a dreaded area for me personally. This weekend is Missouri's tax-free weekend, so me and the girl's went today and bought our school item's. I will not do it next year with kid's until like 7PM when people hopefully are no longer out shopping. I did not have much fun to say the very least.
School is going well this term, it's going really quick now that I am half done with the MA program, thing's will hopefully be coming around soon and I can get back to work out in the real world again.
We're going on a mini-day vacation on Sunday to a smaller water park, so that should be a good time. Considering they've already (today) issued a heat advisory for Sunday, it'll be needed I'm sure.
Adventureland here we come in 29 days! Labor Day weekend....am I crazy?!?!?!?

My crazy last week of July
So here we are day 29 of 31 in July and it's been a pretty crazy week. Last Friday we drove six hours to IL to spend the next day celebrating my step fathers 50th birthday and it was a great time until my uncle had a (TIA) and I had to go console my cousin.
Sunday left me wanting to stay in IL a little longer but I had to get back home. I had to leave my daughters at their dad's for the week so I was in turn a blubbering mess for all of Sunday.
Once I figured out that I would indeed be OK without kiddo's for a week (not as though I have a break considering I provide childcare for 3 others...) I went on a creative spree. I revamped both girls' bedrooms, repainting all furniture and rearranging furniture.
I started a new medication on Monday also...and I DO NOT take medication, well let me tell ya, the side effects are almost worse than what I was even trying to defeat so I'm not so sure about all this.
So we move on to the latter part of the week TGIF tomorrow and I think I will try getting most homework done by tomorrow evening so I can spend most of my Sunday with my girls when they return back home.
Have fun ladies and gents, it's a lil cooler this week!

My thoughts on being an online student...
Hello everyone, I am here in MO hoping your week is going smoother than mine has been and that you are not dripping in sweat.
So, being an online student to me means a couple different things. Although I love not being in a classroom because I don't much care for enclosed spaces, I miss the banter of classmates. I find that during seminar's I learn more because many thoughts are thrown out. I've not been able to make our seminar's yet however so that's no help for now. Clinical's will be coming soon, so that will kick start the process into high gear quick!
On the other end of the spectrum, I adore being able to walk away from my schoolwork as I please. Whether to do laundry or use the restroom, I have freedom that would not be found in a classroom.
